Video showing a fight involving Atlantic City's mayor and a councilman outside a casino has been released.
Mayor Frank Gilliam and Councilman Jeffree Fauntleroy were issued summonses of simple assault and harassment in the case, involving three employees at the casino.
The two got good news earlier Wednesday, when the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office decided to keep the case in municipal court and not pursue higher charges.
The release of the video has been highly anticipated, as members of the public wanted to view what happened for themselves.
It appears to show Fauntleroy throw a man down and take a fighting stance. Later, Gilliam — wearing a hat — appears to trade words with a man, while a woman tries to hold him back at one point.
Then, Gilliam suddenly takes off after the man and punches at him as the man backs up.
The other man then swings and Gilliam goes down briefly, then stands up and chases after him.
